Electronic Detonator FAQ for Regulators

In an effort to aid the regulatory community, IME has published “ Electronic Blasting Initiation Systems EBIS Frequently Asked Questions for Regulators.” This FAQ  articulates the differences between electronic detonators and electric detonators and further addresses storage, transportation, RF interference, shunting, testing, firing and other precautions relevant to electronic detonators.  The FAQ also includes information on additional IME resources for safe transportation, storage, and use of electronic detonators found at www.ime.org.
